Hello Orlando!

Sorority leadership committee hits O-Town for the weekend!

Here we are, on the eve of what's officially billed as the Regional Sorority Leadership Conference in Orlando. I’m happy to report that it's shaping up to be much more than that. As president of our Gamma Chapter, I’m heading up our delegation and I am happy to report that our girls as so pumped to be in O-Town!

Posing with Gretchen and Jenni before going out on Thursday

Gretchen, my right-hand woman and the life of any party, has been buzzing with anticipation all week. We came prepared with our bags full of sexy outfits and swimsuits. The official agenda is leadership development, networking, and chapter growth strategies. But let's be real, the unspoken agenda? Fun, freedom, and maybe finding the best pieces of meat Orlando has to offer.

The Arrival: The sun was blazing as we landed in Orlando. Gretchen already had a list of clubs and bars we "absolutely must visit," her enthusiasm infectious as always.

Meg and Kate waiting for everyone to get ready last night. You can tell they were very excited to go out on the town.

First Night: We landed Thursday and checked into our hotel and immediately started planning our escape to the nightlife. There's something about being away from campus, in a city that thrives on excitement, that shifts our focus. We will make sure to attend the workshops, but the real connections always happen after dark. Gretchen was on the prowl, not just for herself but playing matchmaker for the rest of us.

Friday: Surprisingly, we did make it to the morning sessions, albeit with sunglasses and some strong coffees. The talks were actually inspiring, but the whispers and texts about tonight's plans were lighting up our phones.

Reflection: Leading this group has shown me the duality of responsibility. We're here to grow as leaders, yes, but also to push ourselves to the limit as the most popular gals in any town we show up in. There's a thrill in balancing these roles, in knowing that while we're learning to lead, we're also living fully, seeking connections, perhaps fleeting, perhaps meaningful, in the warm Orlando nights.

Gretchen's already talking about a guy she met at the pool bar. There's an unspoken understanding among us; this trip is as much about personal exploration as it is about sorority development.

I'm excited for what's to come this weekend. Here's to leadership, laughter, and the lure of Orlando!
